Mission Statement

The mission of the Corcovado School is to inspire and guide generations of community leaders through bilingual education, multicultural awareness and a deep respect of the natural environment of the Osa Peninsula.

Description

The Corcovado School is the future of the Osa Peninsula.

With focus on a rich curriculum integrating academic, environmental and practical learning, the school guides and inspires children toward self-knowledge and supports children’s ever-increasing curiosity about the world in which they live.

Nestled within the small town of Puerto Jiménez on the Osa Peninsula the Corcovado School is the only bilingual school in the south western region of Costa Rica. The school neighbors the immensely biodiverse Corcovado National Park which National Geographic has famously coined "the most biologically intense place on earth."

Together with an innovative curriculum and utilization of educational opportunities abundant in the rich natural surrounding, students will confidently meet the world with a lifelong love of learning and enthusiasm to be of service to their community and to the world.
