Mission Statement

The purpose for which the corporationis organized is to benefit those groupsor individuals with Physical, Emotional, Mental and Developmental Disabilities through the interaction of the horse. This has been known to imrove balance, muscle tone, build self esteem, confidence, and on occasion aid in the restoration of some muscula rfunctions as well as to improve cognitive and behavioral skills.

Description

We are a volunteer organization andwe use our Morgan Horses as well asdonated pony on our 17 1/2 acre farm. All lessons are 1 hour long andrun roughly all year long with the exception of Jan.thru March/April depending on the weather conditions. Also, we are involved in Equestrian Special Olympics and at present havetwo individuals we are working with onthe local level. Orientation/packets are available to all volunteers prior to start of sessions. Horse back riding /horse handling is not necessary but helpful. Most importantly is that the individual is not fearful of the horse. Safety is upper most and is our number one priority.
