Not every child is able to recover from a serious illness or injury. Sometimes a disease or condition continues to worsen, despite every attempt and effort. When this happens, the primary aim of a child's care shifts from seeking a cure to making the child more physically and emotionally comfortable and as free from pain as possible. The reality is over 200,00 kids die a year from a terminal disease. When I think of being a kid I remember great days and Christmas is the one that stuck out the most. So we decided, why not bring the winter Holidays to these kids. With your help each and every family that we visit will have a moment of joy, free from the illness when they see their child's face light up. The concept is to replicate the feeling of that great and fun loving day. Ish the Elf and friends travel to homes and hospitals to give gifts and play games with the kids.
