To improve quality of life for those we serve through the delivery of clinical excellence, extraordinary service and compassionate care, while being recognized as the leader in hospice services.
The need for volunteers is great! In addition to the team of skilled and compassionate people, including nurses, hospice physicians, medical social workers, aides, and spiritual care coordinators, volunteers are a crucial component in the continuum of care provided to patients, caregivers, and families.
Volunteers are needed for direct patient involvement such as companionship and engagement and socialization. Reading, singing, playing cards and being a non-anxious presence can enhance and enrich the lives of those with life-limiting illnesses. Caregivers and families often need support as well.
Another type of volunteering available is through administrative work; organizing files, answering phones, and providing general office support.
Won’t you consider giving a few hours a week or monthly to such a fulfilling and necessary cause?
