Description

Cedar Creek has specialized in Alzheimer’s and dementia care since 1996. Emphasis is placed on respect for our residents, and acceptance of who they are today, as they continue their life journey. We create an atmosphere of caring and compassion for our residents through every stage of their memory loss.

Working at Cedar Creek as been a fun experience and I always look forward to going there. I get to do a variety of activities with the patients. Once I even pushed around a spice cart and let them smell the spices. Sometimes I get to sing or play bingo or even just have conversation with them. Cedar Creek is also flexible with my schedule. They also provided a good training session before I started volunteering. I learned the behavior traits of of the patients and what to expect. That was very helpful.
