Mission Statement

We believe that all life has the right to freedom from cruelty, abuse, exploitation and neglect, and is entitled to legal, moral and ethical consideration and protection. We believe that every domesticated animal has the right to be wanted, cherished, respected and protected, and deserves not to be born unless these rights can be guaranteed. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for companion animals in Contra Costa County by preventing cruelty, relieving suffering, and advocating responsible and humane behavior through promoting public awareness, as well as by providing related programs and services. Please visit our web site www.cchumane.org for more information on our mission, programs and services.

Description

Contra Costa Humane Society is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting kindness and responsibility toward all living creatures. We are a resource for information on animal-related issues, and provide a variety of services such as cat and dog adoption referrals, and low-cost spay/neuter information and financial assistance. We do not operate a shelter. Please visit our web site www.cchumane.org for more information on our mission, programs and services.
