Extending hands of caring and guidance to the immigrant by referring resources and information on immigration laws, housing, employment, advocating for j-1 Visa students coming to San Diego each summer to work and experience our culture in the U.S. Referring legal representation, landlord/tenant issues, processing applications for passports lost, stolen or renewals and social integration.

Description

Irish outreach San Diego began in 2000 to address the needs of the newly arrived Irish immigrant as well as those iestablished in the Irish community in the San Diego area. Irish Outreach San Diego is acknowledged by the Department of Foreign Affairs Ireland and the Consul General of Ireland in San Francisco. In summer 2007, 2500 social security numbers were issued to Irish J-1 students who contributed to the local economy.Irish Outreach San Diego networks with local businesses who provide seasonal employment to the students.
