Mission Statement

The mission of New Beginners is to enable at risk students the opportunity to improve their reading skills and become successful in school by developing reading skills, moral ethics, and character development that will prepare them for high school and post secondary education.

Description

New Beginners is a non-profit organization that is designed to assist youth in receiving support and guidance from a mentor, increase academic performance, improve youth social relationships and reduce youth dropout rates and juvenile delinquency. During the last eight years, New Beginners, Inc. have been working with varies organizations, schools, and businesses mentoring "at risk" youth with poor reading skills. We have seen that this early intervention has caused an increased in students reading abilities when participating in the program.
