Mission Statement

To raise awareness for Brain Tumors on a local, state and national level To provide an online community for access to resources within the cancer community at large. To enable those affected with brain tumors to gain support in their community by engaging professionals, advocates, patients and caregivers to participate in an online community and join other brain tumor networks. We provide an online resource for patients, advocates and caregivers. This is an all-comprehensive website that represents those active in the areas of advocacy, research, support and treatment.

Providing assistance on how to use online resources and how to join online support groups and networks; which provide updated news regarding advocacy and treatment issues.

We are encouraging membership of organizations in South Carolina who are committed to support brain tumor patients and their families by providing their updates about treatments, advocacy efforts and assistance programs within our online community. We are engaged in a statewide campaign to raise awareness about brain tumors and encourage fundraisers to support local organizations who are like-minded in their goals to ease the burden of this disease upon the patient and their families.

Description

The Brain Tumor Awareness Organization was founded in order to build a national network comprised of state advocates who will engage in raising awareness through an online community and in their own communities which will lead to obtaining funds which can then provide assistance to brain tumor patients and their families. By bringing together valuable resources in a comprehensive web community, we can strengthen our efforts to raise awareness and provide support for all those affected by brain tumor diagnoses.
