The Baltimore Renaissance Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit youth leadership organization promoting positive social change through entrepreneurship.

Our mission is to change Baltimore communities by creating innovative community development programs, and empowering young people through leadership experience and training.

Our vision is to be a growth-oriented, efficient, and responsive social enterprise driving change by creating sustainable intellectual and economic value.

Description

The Foundation sponsors three main programs:

The Student Professional Development Initiative (SPDI) - a social entrepreneurship incubator for young men 16-24. Students become real-life CEOs, managing real, functioning business ventures that serve a Baltimore community.

Project Counterculture - a movement promoting positive self-expression through visual and performing arts, music, and creative writing. Project Counterculture develops and supports young artists promoting positive messages in our community.

The Community Research Consortium - a think tank for strategic research affecting urban youth.
