Mission Statement
South High School Volunteer Services exists to provide support and participation of both adults and children to enhance the quality of our students, staff and volunteers educational experience. By providing different avenues of active engagement for individual community members, various institutions and agencies, South High School Volunteer Services establishes a collaborative environment where all are working for the betterment of our school and ultimately our surrounding community.
Description
Minneapolis South High School provides their students with exemplary academic programs, a dynamic theater experience ranging from Shakespeare to new playwrights' productions, musical opportunities from jazz to classical styles and studies in the visual arts from traditional art forms of drawing, painting and ceramics to contemporary digital media.
South is centered around three small learning communities: All Nations, Liberal Arts and the Open program. All of the SLC's provide different avenues of learning while preparing students for college and other post secondary opportunities.
