Generation Schools is fundamentally re-thinking how an urban public school organizes its people, time and space.

Generation Schools is a nonprofit organization that has developed an innovative and practical new operational model that can triple the value of public school funding and offer all students the types of educational and youth development opportunities that lead to academic achievement for far more students.

Description

Generation Schools introduces a new kind of urban public school that fundamentally re-thinks how people, time and space are organized within a school. It focuses on a education system where great teachers teach a handful of students, not a roomful, where students receive an extended day and year without increasing the work year for teachers and where a full complement of fine arts, music and wellness programs, in addition to college-readiness academics, are a part of every student's day.
