Sharing the Spirit of Finland: An intergenerational event open to all, special mission to focus on family and youth to share the culture and heritage of the Finnish people and the impact people of Finnish descent have had both in our local area and worldwide.

Description

FinnFest 2008 is a 5 day festival that will take place in later July of 2008 at the DECC in Duluth, MN. 25th year in existance with an average attendance of 7,000 people. All profits go to a scholarship fund at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. The event will feature programs on Finnish culture, the Music of Finland, contributions of women of Finnish heritage and the Finnish-Ojibwe integration and much more. FinnFest2008 is a 501-C-3 nonprofit organization.
