Special Olympics training and competition is open to every person with intellectual disabilities who is at least eight years of age and who registers to participate in Special Olympics. There is no maximum age limitation for participation in Special Olympics. There are not costs to the athlete. Participation in Special Olympics training and competition is open to all persons with intellectual disabilities, regardless of the level or degree of that person’s disability, and whether or not that person also has other mental or physical disabilities, so long as that person registers to participate in Special Olympics as required by the General Rules.

The Second Annual Spring into Music Festival benefitting Special Olympics Florida-Hernando County will take place on Saturday, March 28th, 2014, at The Lake House, Spring Hill, FL.
The Music Fest will attract over one thousand fun seekers and feature arts, crafts, and food vendors.Along with a great variety of food to enjoy, the entertainment program includes local bandsand musicians throughout the day. In addition, raffle items and cash prizes will be awarded.All proceeds will benefit Special Olympics Florida-Hernando County.
The festival is run by a passionate and dedicated all volunteer committee whose combined skills make it a truly community event. The Music Fest is focused on Hernando County’s athletes and increased awareness of Special Olympics Florida.
