Mission Statement

Shenango River Watchers is a non-profit watershed group formed to restore and protect the environmental, scenic, and recreational attributes of the Shenango River Watershed.

Description

Shenango River Watchers is a non-profit organization based out of Hermitage, PA. As an organization, we have had a positive impact on our river, the watershed, and the communities that surround it. We have accomplished so much in our community over the last 14 years, and continue to do so through tire recycling events, environmental education events, recreational events, and clean up days.

Thanks to our members and passionate volunteers, we have been able to remove nearly 1.25 million pounds of trash from the Shenango River Watershed and last year we were able to save 10.8 tons of tires from ending up in a landfill!

In addition to our continuous cleanup efforts, Shenango River Watchers has successfully transformed the upper portion of the Shenango River into a Certified Pennsylvania Water Trail. Our river is now a showcase of what hard work, determination, and community commitment can achieve. This valuable recreational destination also provides an economic boost to our area.

New members and volunteers are always welcome!

It's YOUR river, keep it flowing!
