Clothing closet help needed

We appreciate your interest in volunteering with CedarWood International. We are a faith-based, community food pantry and clothing closet open to the public every Monday from 12:30-2:30PM. We rent space inside of a church, Bethel Chapel, at 23010 66th Ave W, in Mountlake Terrace, WA. We accept volunteers any time from the hours of 9:00AM--2:30PM--whatever matches your availability, but our "open to the public" operating hours are from 12:30--2:30PM. We also have an opportunity on Thursdays from 10AM--12PM. The tasks involved include assisting the public on Mondays, sorting and hanging clothing, and general organization.

Volunteer needed for Monday CedarWood Food Pantry and Clothing

Volunteers like you play a key role in our CedarWood food pantry and clothing closet. A wide variety of Volunteer opportunities are available every Monday such as set up, unload food and other donations, sort produce, serving in our clothing closet, and clean up. We serve an average of 100+ families every Monday and want to invite you to be part of our CedarWood family. Please contact Adam Shephard at (206) 883-5132 or send us a email. Driver assistants needed for CedarWood food pantry

Currently our truck drivers need assistance with picking up food from grocery stores and unloading them at our pantry. In some cases, help with sorting and storage of these items. Training will be provided. Must have your own transportation to the food pantry location and be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. Please be aware this DOES require some lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs. However, we are big advocates of "team lifting" and would never expect solo lifting of heavier boxes. Current needs include: Monday mornings - 8:30am - 10:30am Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings: 8:30am - 12:30am Friday afternoons: 12:30pm - 3:00pm CedarWood Food Pantry in Mountlake Terrace supplies needed groceries for an average of 75 families in the community. CedarWood International is a Christian-faith based, non-profit branch of The World For Jesus Ministries that offers community support through a local food pantry, clothing closet, and a children’s weekend feeding program. It is our desire to feed the hungry, clothe those in need, and touch the souls with God’s love. Our vision includes: expanding our programs to operate a free lunch kitchen and providing vocational training to encourage self-sustaining families.
