Mission Statement

The Essex County 4-H Youth Development Program uses a learn-by-doing approach to enable youth to develop the knowledge, attitudes, and skills they need to become competent, caring, and contributing citizens of the world.

Description

4-H provides fun educational activities through clubs, resident camp, the county fair, afterschool programs, and partnership with other youth agencies. It is sponsored by USDA, state land-grant colleges, county government, and local donors. Essex County 4-H includes two non-profit agencies:the Leaders Association and the Fair Association.
