Mission Statement

The Veterans Trauma Support Network (VTSN) is a tax-exempt not-for-profit (501c3) Florida based organization. The network was established to generate and accept tax-exempt monetary and equipment donations to provide veterans with brain injuries with free primarily neurological hyperbaric therapy and other alternative forms of trauma therapy. Current top priority projects include HBOT for Traumatic brain injury (TBI) and Post-traumatic stress (PTSD) patients. We are currently running a petition to the U.S. Congress, which is supervised and administered solely by VTSN.

Description

After so many years of war in Afghanistan and Iraq, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD ) among military personnel has come to the attention of the American people as never before.

Not every traumatized person develops full-blown or even minor PTSD. Symptoms usually begin within three months of the incident, but occasionally may only emerge years later. They must last more than a month to be considered PTSD. The condition varies from person to person.

FACTS ABOUT PTSD PTSD affects about 7.7 million American adults.
  • PTSD can occur at any age.

  • Women are more likely to develop PTSD than men, and there is some evidence that the potential for the disorder may run in families.

  • PTSD is often accompanied by depression, substance abuse, or other anxiety disorders.Members of the military exposed to war/combat and other groups at high risk for trauma exposure are at risk for developing PTSD.

The Veterans Trauma Support Network was founded to assist the brave men and women who serve and protect our great nation. From soldiers who served in previous wars to service men and women currently protecting our country and suffering the affects of battle. Our organization will provide services directly to those in need or refer them to practitioners treating PTSD through the use of Rapid Resolution Therapy.. Our services and any referred services through our Network are provided at no cost and offer an alternative to options currently available to our veterans.
