The mission of Communities in Schools of the Permian Basin (CISPB) is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
CISPB believes that every child should have a one-on-one relationship with a caring adult, a safe place to learn and grow, a healthy start and healthy future, a marketable skill to use upon graduation, and a chance to give back to the community. CISPB helps students succeed in school by providing services such as: tutoring, homework support, after-school activities, peer pressure and self esteem support, college readiness, parental involvement, job and career preparation and support to address personal issues. CISPB currently serves Midland and Ector County Independent School District with a 99% stay in school rate and 87% significant improvement rate for those students served.
