Mission Statement

Building a bridge over the economic digital divide for underrepresented people in technology, specifically black and latino/a, while providing nonprofits affordable support to leverage the power of Salesforce to meet their program goals.

Description

In the United States the technology industry hugely under represents the country’s overall diverse workforce, contributing to today’s economic divide. Major technology firms (firms over 100 employees) released data in 2014 of the racial and gender makeup of their employees, 72% of their workforce are male and only 3% are Black and 6% are Hispanic.

Strideforce, fiscally sponsored by the Stride Center, was founded to be a part of the solution in closing this economic divide by training underrepresented populations as Salesforce Administrators and providing our graduates with real-life work experience. Salesforce, the largest provider of web-based Contact Relationship Management tools, gives away their product for free to nonprofits. It is an incredibly powerful tool that is used by companies large and small around the world. Our graduates team with Strideforce senior engineers to provide top quality affordable services to help nonprofits and socially-responsible businesses leverage Salesforce effectively for their organization.
