It is the mission of Vision Corps: To provide social, vocational, rehabilitative, and educational services for people who are blind or whose vision is impaired; To educate our community about blindness and its prevention; To advocate for the interests of people who are blind or whose vision is impaired; To advance our belief that people who are blind are entitled to and are capable of achieving full autonomy and independence; And to do so through responsible stewardship of the human and financial resources available.
We offer services such as rehabilitation and mobility training for over 2,000 blind and vision impaired residents throughout Lancaster, Lebanon, Somerset, Berks and Chester Counties. We employ over 100 people who are blind or vision impaired. In addition we also have an integrated preschool (for children with and without vision impairments) for ages three to five years old.
We rely heavily on volunteers. All of our services would not be possible without the many volunteers who donate their time.
