Mission Statement

Francis House provides a home and an extended family to persons with terminal illnesses so they can die with dignity surrounded by the unconditional love of God. We use our lived experience as a resource for others. Our core values are compassion, unconditional acceptance, respect, and dignity.

Description

Founded in 1991, Francis House is a home for people who are terminally ill that is open to all residents regardless of faith, ethnicity, or ability to pay. Francis House is sponsored by the Sisters of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities.

Volunteers are the heart of Franics House - the gifts of your time and talents are invaluable. With a variety of volunteer opportunities to choose from seven days a week, there are endless ways you can make a difference to our residents and their families when they need it most. Volunteers benefit from special training, flexible schedules, and the opportunity to meet new people.

If you see a volunteer opportunity that interests you, please respond here or email us at volunteer@francishouseny.org.
