Mission Statement

The VA mission statement is "To fulfill President Lincoln's promise "To care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow, and his orphan" by serving and honoring the men and women who are America’s Veterans.

The VA Voluntary Service (VAVS) Mission Statement is to "provide a structured Volunteer Program under the management of VA compensated employees in cooperation with community resources to serve America’s Veterans and their families with dignity and compassion".

The Carl Vinson VA Medical Center's Leadership and VAVS Program Managment are committed to fulfilling these missions by providing high quality volunteers willing to serve those who have served.
