Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
To provide FREE Music programs to underprivileged and under served children while emphasizing community service involvement to help improve their well-being, realize their dreams, conviction about their own potential, and become productive members of society.
Each week, over half a million children in the United States have been abused or neglected. These children often have had a difficult and traumatic history and have missed the joys associated with childhood. They face becoming adults with limited skills and more vulnerable to drugs and alcohol abuse. They have strengths and weaknesses, needs and worries just like all kids do.
Also, millions of children today miss out on their childhood as a result of poverty. Poverty deprives them of the capabilities needed to survive, develop and thrive. It prevents them from enjoying equal opportunities. It makes children more vulnerable to exploitation, abuse, violence, discrimination and stigmatization. Living in an environment that provides little stimulation or emotional support to children inhibits the development of vital social skills as well as community support and interaction. Believing that all children deserve the opportunity to lead fulfilling lives, United4Music reaches out to these children who clearly do not benefit from their place in society.
United4Music is a nonprofit organization which grew out of a vision to bring under served and underprivileged children together and provide programs that help improve their well-being through social, recreational, educational and cultural programs while emphasizing community involvement and become productive members of society. Programs that help alleviate distress and give them hope for the future.
While these programs are important areas of focus, values such as discipline, self-respect, self-confidence, cooperation and teamwork, respect for others, accountability and dedication are just some of the vital lessons they will learn from the organization. It is our hope that by positive example, we will foster positive attitudes among children in the community.
