The Big Reach Center of Hope is dedicated to providing the resources and opportunities to help the low-income and working poorin the Mahoning Valley and surrounding communities move toward self-sufficiency through accountability and responsibility. Our purpose is to provide them with hope by meeting both tangible and spiritual needs while recognizing the dignity and beauty of every person.
The Big Reach Center of Hope strives to be one step ahead of the Welfare System. Where as the Welfare System tends to create dependency, we want to offer opportunities to our families that help them work their way out of poverty.
Our 22,000 square foot facility houses a clothing room, a choice food pantry, offices and classrooms. Through our Big Reach Stree Team, we give hope through such events as our Mobile Christmas Toy Distribution, our East Egg Hunt, our school supply giveaway, mobile food and clothing distributions and more.
We are constantly evaluating the needs of the community and implementing ideas and programs that will meet those needs while challenging our families to move towards self-sufficiency.
