Share New York is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to: providing quality monthly food packages at a reduced cost; promoting volunteer service in our communities; and building partnerships with communitiy organizations. Share is also committed to supporting local community groups where all may participate, serve and lead with dignity.

Description

Share New York is a private non-profit organization joining thousands of families together each month to volunteer in their communities and save more than 50% on their food bills. The program offers approximately $30 worth of fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and staples in exchange for $15-$16 in cash or food stamps and two hours of volunteer service. SHARE IS OPEN TO EVERYONE. There are no eligibility requirements to sign up for this program.
