SAFE (Safe Affirming Family Environment)

Description

SAFE (Safe, Affirming, Family Environment) is a non-profit offering resources and programs for foster families and children, foster youth in group homes and those aging out of care, at-risk youth, youth with mental and behavior challenges, church youth groups and school groups. Operating on a ranch in Leipers Fork, Tennessee, SAFE offers the community an opportunity to experience a healing connection through animals and one another. Through its transitional living program, SAFE offers youth aging out of foster care an opportunity to live on the ranch, working with the animals, while preparing for independent living. We hope those leaving our ranch and experiencing our programs will realize that in spite of our differences, we are much more the same. The ranch is truly a place where all can feel SAFE.
