Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Yates ARC to help individuals with developmental and other disabilities achieve their maximum potential for independence and inclusion in the community. To this end, we will acquire and manage then resources necessary to accomplish our mission.

Description

There are four residential houses with varying numbers of adults with developmental disabilitiesin each house. The smallest houses have four each and the largest has twelve The age range is from nineteen to late fifties and disabilities include cerebal palsy, mental retardation, epilepsy, learning disabilitiesThe houses are all handicapped accessible. Some of the consumers walk independently, some need assistance and some use a wheelchair. Each has his/her own unique personality. They all love people, outings, activities and chilling with friends. They would like to have more new friends and this is why we are looking for volunteers.
