Wildfires are devastating communities across California, causing more than 300,000 people to evacuate their homes and threatening many more. The Camp Fire in Northern California -- one of three blazing across the state -- is the most destructive in state history. We want to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you find access to shelter. And if you are looking to help with disaster relief efforts, you know the most effective ways to contribute.

The Mission of the West Coast Center for Alternative Education is to:
"Increase in magnitude and in strength our ability to provide dropouts a General Education Diploma, through the process of classroom education, independent living skills, life skills, and entrepreneurship, in an environment which is alternative to public education."
The West Coast Center for Alternative Education (WCCAE) a California Non-Profit Organization 501(c)(3), provides an alternative academic GED preparation program. Students who attend the program will gain all the valuable skills needed to be a successful and productive citizen.
We will accomplish this by identifying and supporting the vital needs of each student actively attending our program. We will network ourselves with existing organizations , support their efforts , and grow together .
By providing educational services to young adults between the ages of 18-24, it will h elp to increase the amount of students who o btain a General Education Diploma. In return, our efforts will i mpact a decrease in crime rates, drug & alcohol abuse, teenage pregnancies, and the lack of economic growth.
A t our best efforts, we will c ommunicate one on one with each of our students and provide support based off of each individual need, versus the c ommon need as a whole . By doing this we believe it will allow our students the ability to focus on their education w ithout major concerns of their own personal problems.
