Sweet Home Gleaners is a membership based gleaneing organization. Members who receive food weekly must have an incoe at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines. We have three classes of members which are volunteers, gleaner, and adoptee. Volunteers are non food receiving members, Adoptees are members who are physically or mentally incapable of volunteering, and gleaners are members who a required to volunteer eight hours a month to remain a member in good standing. Both adoptees and gleaners receive food weekly. Sweet Home Gleaners opporates a thrift shop that is the organizations main fundraiser. Through the thrift shop the organization is able to provide job experience and training for LBCC Jobs program and Experience Works programs.
