Mission Statement

The Animal Support Center of Las Vegas, New Mexico is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to finding loving homes for homeless pets in our area - no matter how long it takes. We are also dedicated to the prevention of overpopulation through low cost spay/neuter efforts.

Description

The Animal Support Center (TASC) is an organization which has been in Las Vegas for over a decade. It was originally founded to provide low cost spay/neuter but evolved into an animal shelter once people began abandoning animals here. Over the years hundreds of animals have been palced through adoption programs and programs transferring dogs to other shelters in community with higher adoption rates. We are a no kill shelter. Animals here are able to live their lives out if homes are never found for them. Over the years from all of the abandonment, the low cost clinic was closed down. We now have new board members, a new Executive Director,

New and exciting things are happening! The good things happening here are we are working to buy land for an animal sanctuary in San Miguel County! We are working to get our spay/neuter clinic back up and running, and we need as much help as possible!

The sad thing with TASC currently is the city is trying to shut us down. We need as much support as we can get while we stay here until our new place is ready!

We are also putting together youth outreach programs!
