Mission Statement

The CHIPS Program is operated by the CAC Office on Aging. CHIPS trains and equips homebound persons (55 and older) to use e-mail and the Internet to overcome social isolation, connect with people and resources, assert more control over their own lives, and contribute to their community.

Description

Volunteeers refurbish used computers, install them in clients' homes and then provide follow-up technical support. Other volunteers help train mentors (usually a friend or family menber) or clients to use the computer.
