Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
HOPE, Inc. is a non-profit organization composed of individuals who are or have been diagnosed as mentally ill or who perceive ourselves as such. We believe that as consumers of mental health services we are entitled to make our own choices and above all, be treated with respect and dignity. As part of the national mental health consumer movement, empowerment can be achieved through peer-operated programs which provide educations, advocacy and information. Our leadershop comes from within this movement. Our mission is to help us empower ourselves to independently exercise our human right, assume our societal responsibilities and provide a safe and compassionate environment for all.
HOPE, Inc. is an umbrella organization that oversees the day-to-day operations of Nueva Luz (a drop in center for adults diagnosed with a mental illness) and the Peer Mentor Program (a support system by and for adults diagnosed with a mental illness).
