Mission Statement

Veterans Resource Centers of America (VRCOA) is a community-based organization, serving veterans and non-veterans. Our goal is to support individuals and families as they build better lives for themselves, their families, and our communities. With offices throughour the Western United States, VRCOA is committed to meeting the needs of disenfranchised citizens by providing comprehensive services, which include but are not limited to transittional housing, employment and training programs, comprehensive case management services, and small business assistance.

Description

In Northern Nevada, we have offices in Reno and Carson City - each of these sites run the VA SSVF (Supportive Services for Veterna Families) grant, allowing us to: (1) house homeless veteran familes and (2) keep veteran familes in danger of becoming homeless housed and off the streets.

Through the SSVF grant, we offer case management services, rapid rehousing and eviction prevention, information and referalls, utility and rental assistance, employment assistance (both in terms of searching for work and in terms of purchasing the tools or items required), emergency assistance (diapers, food, etc.) car repairs, transportation assistance and much more.
