Dixon Family Services (DFS) is a non-profit social services organization that has grown and adapted to the needs of the Dixon Community for over 30 years. Established in 1984 by a group of parents interested in providing support to children and their parents around social skills, school behavior and possible family issues, such as divorce or dysfunction. The Just For Kids program was implemented in all Dixon's elementary schools.

The success of one program and the optimism that more could be done, led to the development and provision of many additional services from the organization. Over the years target populations have grown to include individuals of all ages, with special attention to low, to moderate-income families with children.

The one-stop-shop now provides basic needs case management, home visiting supportive services and mental health and substance abuse prevention, counseling, groups and many other supportive services such as food, parenting and life skills classes.
