Our mission inspires us to care for and improve the health of those we serve with a special concern for the sick and the poor. We are called to be a sign of God's unconditional love for all and believe that all persons by their creation are endowed with dignity. SETON continues the Catholic tradition of service established by our founders: Vincent de Paul, Louise de Marillac, and Elizabeth Ann Seton.

Description

Volunteer opportunities are available in both clinical and non-clinical settings. All hospital volunteers receive training from hospital staff to prepare them for their positions. Find out more about becoming a member of the Dell Children's Volunteers, participating in the College Volunteer Program, participating in the Woody Pet Assisted Therapy Program or the Teen Summer Volunteer Program.

In 1997, the Children's Hospital of Austin Volunteers began with six volunteers. In 2007, 200 volunteers raised more than $150,000 for the Dell Medical Center of Central Texas and contributed more than 70,000 volunteer hours.

Volunteers provide volunteer assistance to patients, families and staff of Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas, raise funds to help support hospital programs and serve as goodwill ambassadors within the community.
