Mission Statement
The Families of Children with Cancer, Inc., is a nonprofit support group for patients, families, and long term survivors of childhood cancer from Northeast Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Our Group offers financial, social and educational assistance, and recognizes the various needs of individuals and families without regard to economics, race, religion, choice of physicians or healthcare facilities.
Our Group strives to provide a caring, understanding, and encouraging support system, dedicated to the children who are battling cancer, to those who have survived, and to those who live on in our hearts, so that no one need face the uncertain world of childhood cancer alone.
The Families of Children, Inc., is affiliated with the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation international network of parent support groups.
Description
We are a non-profit support organization open to families of Northeastern Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula who have or who have had children with cancer, adult survivors of childhood cancer, and individuals who wish to assist such families with their professional and/or personal assistance. No salaries are paid, and all money raised directly benefits area families of children with cancer.
Childhood Cancer is difficult both for the child and the family. We offer a wide range of support and activities for families dealing with this difficult situation.
