Mission Statement

To provide 1:1 reading mentoring for students in grades K-5 for 30 minute sessions October through April

Description

We have volunteers come in to work with students 1:1 in reading for 30 minute sessions. We operate Monday through Thursday from 8 - 2:00 from October through April. Volunteers may jump into the program choosing to mentor as often or as little as they like, and I will work with their schedules to find a time that works best for them. Some volunteers only mentor once per month and others mentor weekly. I have had a few mentors who have mentored several days in a week, but they cannot usually keep up that pace for very long. Some people set up teams and take turns coming out here which works very well! Our school is run through NwOESC and covers nineteen different school districts in five surrounding counties.
