The mission of the American Cancer Society is to save lives, celebrate lives and lead the fight for a world without cancer. Our vision is to achieve progress towards that here in Oregon and SW Washington. The American Cancer Society is the nationwide, community-based, voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.

The American Cancer Society is the nationwide, community-based, voluntary health organization aimed at eliminating cancer as a major health problem this century! We do this by helping people stay well, helping people get well, finding cures and fighting back!
