Our aim is to provide a nurturing, safe and healthy educational enrichment program for young children ages 3-5. We seek to make a difference, one child at a time"

Description

We are a state-funded regular ed preschool program locoated on the Danbury school campus. We are interested in having adult student volunteers regardless of education major or knowledge/background. We are specifically looking for high school or college students desiring to make a difference in young children's lives. May of our students come from lower economic/poor family homes, homeless, special needs, or lack positive role models or a father-figure. Volunteers do not need any experience, they can simply sit with a child and read a book.

Any strudents willing to volunteers as little as one hour a week, would be greatly appreciated.

We are also looking for volunteers in the community fields of dentist, hygienist, police officer, business owners, etc. Anyone that can come in and share 10 to 15 minutes of their time speaking and encouraging young minds of the wonderful adult working world.

p.s. a current TB clearance, non-criminal record, and a desire to work with young children is required.
