Since its creation in 1998, The New York City Police Museum has preserved the rich history of the New York City Police Department. The Museum's programs and exhibits demonstrate how the histories of the NYPD and New York City are intertwined, and how the NYPD has changed along with the City itself.

The Museum honors all men and women who have served in the most prestigious Police Department in the world, the NYPD, and the special place they occupy in New York City's history.
