Bello Machre is a non-profit organization that provides a lifetime commitment of loving care, opportunities, and guidance to individuals with developmental disabilities. We own and operate over 60 homes in Maryland where 3-4 individuals live full time. Many more individuals are supported within their own homes by our direct support staff. Our Development Department is responsible for fundraising, donor communications, community outreach, volunteer engagement, website development, event planning, and media relations. Interns assist in a variety of duties that may include but are not limited to: * event tasks such as confirming vendors, organizing volunteers, and assisting at the event as necessary * photographing and conducting video interviews of individuals, families, staff, and donors to be used in a variety of communications (brochures, newsletters, videos, emails, etc.) * editing and producing videos and pictures for a variety of communications * creating social media posts for Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube * updating general contact information in our database * writing articles for the Volunteer Newsletter * editing various pieces of communication * assisting with addressing, stamping, stuffing, and sealing envelopes during mass mailing events By assisting with the department’s strategic goals, the student will succeed in our overall mission of developing and expanding the Bello Machre culture.
