The mission of Brooklyn Boatworks is to encourage, inspire and empower young people towards success through the unique craft of wooden boatbuilding and on-the-water experiences. We teach the values of learning by doing, cooperation, perseverance and craftsmanship.

Description

Serving low-income New York City public middle school students our unique programs use boat building and on the water experiences to support the development of positive behaviors, critical thinking, leadership skills, self-esteem, and communication skills while building students’ exposure to and abilities in science, technology, engineering, and math.
