Description
The Workforce Investment Board administers the federally funded WIA Program which serves adults and youth from low income family (economically disadvantaged) and other eligible workers who have lost their jobs. The Bay Consortium supports public/private partnerships involving local government, business and industry, labor, education and training institutions, employment services, and community support organizations.
The Virginia Workforce Centers are a one-stop concept to provide local businesses and all citizens with employment, job training, support services, and more.
The purpose of the Center is to integrate our partners’ services and coordinate resources for job seekers, employers/businesses, skilled and dislocated workers, training, and, where appropriate, incumbent workers.
