Mission Statement

Habitat for Humanity of Sangamon County is a community-driven nonprofit organization that develops working partnerships with local businesses, churches, community organizations and other individuals to build simple, decent and affordable housing for all God's people in need.

Description

Habitat for Humanity of Sangamon County invites people of all backgrounds, races and religions to build houses together in partnership with families in need. Habitat relies on the goodness and support of volunteers and community donors to make our success possible, through giving their time on our home builds (building, cooking, pr, clean-up, moral support, etc), donating money, services or materials to our builds, or by offering our organization a unique service (graphic/web design, ReStore/HomeCenter organization, grant research, PR/Advertising, and beyond)!

Habitat has an open-door policy: All who desire to be a part of this work are welcome regardless of religious preference or background. Habitat for Humanity has always had a policy of building with people in need regardless of race or religion, and we welcome volunteers and supporters from all backgrounds.
