I have been a Fort Worth Zoo "volunteen" / education department volunteer since 2004, and I have to tell you, it has been awesome. As a volunteen, I have the opportunity to work with kids of all ages, and to help them learn about animals and conservation. For one week every summer (and a Saturday here and there), I basically get to go to Zoo Camp again! It's a real learning experience. Did you know that crepuscular animals are active at dawn and dusk? Well they are! Volunteering at the Fort Worth Zoo Education Dept. is a fun, easy way to help educate the next generation about the environment.
