Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
To assist in the location and recovery of missing and exploited children and to prevent the victimization of children, primarily focusing upon child abduction, molestation, and sexual exploitation.
Established in 1984 under a Congressional mandate, the Center works in cooperation with the US Department of Justice's office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention to coordinate efforts of law enforcement, social service agencies, judges, prosecutors, public officials, educators, and the public to break the cycle of violence against children. Since 1997, NCMEC has played a role in the recovery of more than 38,000 children, worked on more than 61,000 cases and handled more than 1.1 million telephone calls through our national toll-free hotline 1-800-THE-LOST.Realizing that you are making a difference in the lives of children is the driving force of those who have chosen to assist us in our national efforts of locating and recovering missing children and raising public awareness about ways to prevent child abduction, molestation, and sexual exploitation. Our volunteer opportunities cover the entire spectrum of possiblities to include assisting Case Managers, both Domestic and International, Photo distribution, Marketing and Development, Legislation/Public Policy, Management Information Systems, Accounting and Human Resources. Our Project Alert volunteer program enlists the expertise of retired law enforcement officers from around the country.
