Mission Statement
The Parkinson Association of Northern California is dedicated to helping people and families who are affected by Parkinson's disease and related conditions.
Description
The Parkinson Association of Northern California (PANC) is an all volunteer, nonprofit, public benefit organization. Our stated corporate purposes are 1) to educate Parkinson's patients and their caregivers about treatments, options and alternatives in dealins with Parkinson's disease and 2) to provide opportunity for individuals and organizations to make charitable contributions for research leading to optimal treatment and cures.
PANC's home base is in Sacramento, but it connects with Parkinson Support Groups throughout Northern California. Anyone interested in Parkinson's is welcome to attend Group meetings to learn more about the disease, share challenges and victories, and provide mutual support and understanding.
PANC's specific activities include: conducting a high-caliber Seminar on topics of interest to the Parkinson community; publishing a quarterly newsletter; hosting an annual conference for the facilitators of the Support Groups; offering financial vouchers for respite care; and of course, fundraising.
