Mission Statement
To stimulate public interest in Mexican culture by encouraging the art of traditional Mexican folkloric dance. To further encourage amateur dance talent by making Mexican culture available to anyone who is interested, through dance performances and exhibitions.
Description
Ballet Folklorico Mexicano de Nueva York (BFMNY) has been training community members through classes 3 times a week for the past 31 years. Each member becomes a dance ambassadors, as we perform as a folkloric and traditional dance company throughout the city of New York and the tri state area.
There are several dance presentations produced by BFMNY, including the free admission "Guelaguetza Festival" at Cadman Plaza Brooklyn. There are other festivals that BFMNY participates free to the public and other special engagements by contribution.
At the moment, BFMNY, is investigating the possibility of creating a children's class.
