Mission Statement

The Environmental Film Festival in the Nation’s Capital seeks to advance public understanding of the environment through the power of film.

Description

Each March, the Festival presents a diverse selection of 200 high quality environmental films at 60+ venues throughout the Washington metro region, reaching a combined audience of 34,000. To enhance our film screenings, the Festival organizes post-screening discussions and panels featuring filmmakers as well as leading scientists, environmental experts, activists and educators; EFF hosted 300 of these special guest speaker during 2014 Festival alone. EFF is proud to offer over 80% of our programs free to the public, and each year our youth programming reaches over 3,000 students from DC public and charter schools. We are also increasingly offering year-round films and discussions as an ongoing service to the community.
